A new tumblr in town

Design, Living, News, Random Add comments

In yesterday’s post I mentioned that I had started a new blog… and I wasn’t kidding. I discovered the most amazing thing ever for lazy blogging mofos like myself. It’s called tumblr. I’m not very down with the technology as I’m sure you’re all aware by now, so it’s probably old news… but I only just stumbled across it and I love it, so I’m going to tell you about it.

Tumblr is a way of keeping a tumblelog which is like a blog of really short posts about stuff you discover on the web, or overhear or want to say. It’s a bit like keeping a blog of stuff you’d normally submit to delicious, digg, stumble upon, clipmarks and twitter.

So anyway you can check out my new tumblelog, brown boxes here. Let me know what you think. If you already have a tumblelog, then let me know the address and I will check it out.

I would advise that everyone starts one, they are really easy to update and a good way of looking back over stuff you discovered online, but might otherwise forget. If you’re a lazy blogger like me then it really is the perfect tool for you. Oh, I forgot to mention, the default design is really nice too.

I’m still confused but I signed up! I added you as a friend too :)

That penis video was sent to me by my Mum about a week ago; honestly, most of the things I’d post would be from my Mum. Sorta sad… yes?

If you go to goodies and drag that thing into your bookmarks, then it’s easy. I have been neglecting this blog a bit in favour of that one. doh.

Oh that makes it so much better! I added the widget, but it seems that’s only for text. That button is brilliant. I really like the concept of it… Perhaps if it goes good enough over the next couple of weeks, I may point patrickwilly.com to my tumblr account! (I’m fickle like that)…

You can use it for links and pictures too. If you don’t select any text it posts a link from the page you’re on. If you select text on a page then press it, it does a quote. If you command click on a picture then copy image location and pate it in a new window, then press it… I know that’s long winded, it posts the picture.
