Why do men have nipples

Random, Science Add comments

Okay, usually I write about something and get you to comment about your opinions, but today I’m getting scientifical on yo asses homeys. This is a really un-original question, there is even a book with this title, but it has been bothering me so I thought I would put it to the room.

Why do men have nipples?

Nipples’ function is to feed babies and men don’t lactate. Do we just have them to look symmetrical when we are naked or is there some use… is it something to do with when you are conceived you don’t have a gender yet and you could be either. Is it some sort of erotic thing. I don’t know… you can add science to the school subjects I was crap at… along with history.

Someone put me out of my misery with a highly intelligent comment please… or if you don’t know, maybe you could make up a function… like maybe in the future they will produce beer and men can suck their own nipples at the pub while watching the footy, sorry that is really weird, I should still be in bed. Suggestions please…

p.s. does anyone know how to spell ok or okay cause my spell check says both are wrong… yes I do use spell check you cheeky mammoth

I thought some men could lactate

Simple. The sex bits of the baby is one of the last things that develop in the womb. We grow nipples beforehand, women then grow boobs whilst we grow man bits.

so is it also true that where women’s clitoris’ are is where the penis would be… and where the man’s gooch is is where the vagina would be… also is that where hermaphrodites come from

Men and women are mammals (from the Latin mamma breast) a species that have breasts and feeds its young with milk. The human embryo has tissue that will evolve into breasts. Both male and female babies are born with nipples and ducts intact. It is the presence of genes that direct hormones to differentiate the breast tissue. The Y chromosome stimulates hormones such as testosterone to form male features.

Insufficient or defective testosterone, poor tissue responsiveness, or an unbalance of other hormones like Estrogen and Prolactin can cause female like breasts even in men (Gynecomastia). At birth, the small amount of the mother’s estrogen in the baby can result in small breasts that usually resolve. There can be an inbalance of hormones during male puberty that can result in temporary breast growth, which for most resolves.

There was a kid in our school who grew breasts! He was the first person to do so in the year. I was very confused.

    Rhys: confused and aroused?

  7. Rhys Says:

    God no!

all foetus’s are female until testosterone is produced but nipples are formed before that so thats why they have nipples.

also males are missing a quarter of their genetic material with their Y chromoxome so their less superiour to women hehe

I’m not sure why men have nipples. lol. It’s something to think about though. Could you imagine how you’d look WITHOUT nipples? lol.

There is no right or wrong way to spell “Ok”, “Okay”. I peronally look at “Ok” as the short term, and refrain from using that in blogs. I think “Okay” just suits more.

Eh, I’d try to say something intelligent but it looks like your question’s been answered and my answer would’ve been awful anyway since I was going to go with your beer idea. But hey, moving on: ok and okay are both considered to be corrected. Accotding to Wikipedia anyway =/

I thought blokes had nipples so when we performed mangina’s it looked more realistic?!

Also there useful for cutting crystal when its cold!! (Well mine have been this week anyway!)

As for the ok thing, i think the gramatically correct way of using it is OK with capitals. Don’t ask me why!
