The size zero debate - is Kate Moss sexy

Art, Celebrity, Design, Living Add comments

First off let me apologise for the lack of postage this week. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on the blog, the new theme I have been working on for what seems like forever now is almost complete. The comments are currently very default… but enough of this geekery and onto business.

Today I have been mostly thinking about the size zero.

There is much debate in the fashion world at the moment regarding this matter, with some designers carrying on regardless and others banning size zero, but using… I dunno, size one or something cause they still look uber thin to me.

So who is responsible for constructing this image of size zero being the most attractive thing since sliced brad? It’s a bit of a chicken and the egg thing, did the skinny women come around first and then the magazines told us this is what you should find attractive, or did women see skinny women and want to be like them by any means… don’t look at me, I don’t know any of the answers… I’m not a magic 8 ball.

I have to say I do find the Kate Moss

…Sarah types of this world incredibly sexy. As a designer I know it is important your work is shown exactly as you want it to be seen, so therefore if designers want to use size zero I think that is their choice.

What do you think. Should designers be allowed to use whichever models they want? Or should they be forced to use models nearer your average woman who walks down the street?

Also, do you think these models types are hot or not?

No. I think Kate Moss looks like she needs a burger and a good wash. Not into the grungy look.

If I was going to be a lesbian I’d have to go with someone who had curves. Like Liv Tyler or Kate Winslet.

But that’s personal taste. Some people like bums and boobs some people like very thin people like Kate Moss or Keira Knightly.

Personally if I ever got jiggy with Kate Moss I would end up laughing my fat ass off over her pathetic breasts, she actually just has really massive nipples.

Theres very few models i think are attractive, I think they should use people size 10/12 because thats the average size! (in the UK….)!

I’m unsure about this-I’m not sure I could say that size zero models should be banned-simply because there must be women (although not many) who are actually size zero naturally and so these women should be represented. I think there should be more variation on the catwalk and in magazines-skinny people, slim people, average size people, and large people. I think that society’s preoccupation with skinniness is very dangerous-and I think impressionable girls (and boys) are getting the message that skinny=attractive and fat= unnattractive, which is absolute rubbish.

I do think Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are very attractive women…but I also find very curvy women attractive too.

(btw, I am nowhere near as thin as these stick thin ppl-I am on top but I have hips as well, and an ass)

I think those models are pretty too and all models aren’t skinny little twigs because there are so many types of models now.

Plus size models, hand models, feet models and face models.

I know people think that having these skinny beautiful people are damaging to young girls, but I mean come on.. would you rather have them seeing fatter girls thinking its okay to be obese? People are okay with being overweight because they say there ‘happy’. Healthiness isn’t even word anymore.

Either way, I’d rather have young girls seeing skinny girls, to have a goal to be fit and healthy.

    Hot. Hot hot hot.

I think they should be able to create size zeros.. but I also think all designers should now have to wear a uniform. They should be free to pick the style of course… just as long as its from this website:
